Photo Essay

A photo essay is a set or series of photographs that are intended to tell a story or evoke a series of emotions in the viewer. Photo essays range from purely photographic works to photographs with captions or small notes to full text essays with a few or many accompanying photographs. Photo essays can be sequential in nature, intended to be viewed in a particular order, or they may consist of non-ordered photographs which may be viewed all at once or in an order chosen by the viewer. All photo essays are collections of photographs, but not all collections of photographs are photo essays. Photo essays often address a certain issue or attempt to capture the character of places and events. People who have undertaken photo essays include Bruce Davidson, W. Eugene Smith and Walker Evans.

Okay so I decided to search the web to see what Kamie & Dustyn ment by photo essay... (the above paragraph is what I came up with) I figured it was a photography term and not that I was suppose to write an actual essay, or was I? I had no clue when I thought of photo essay I jokeingly thought this... ( see photos below) he he

But after I read it, I was like "duh" should have thought of that..never said I was smart :)

so I decided to look up the term and also have a little fun with it and here is my idea of PHOTO ESSAY... thanks to artist at Bent Objects I had a little fun with some of his creative ideas.

but yes I am working on the correct term...just give me a little bit to get it all together :)

Ha ha!! That was funny.

I know you already figured it out, but a photo essay is a set of photos that tell a story. Or it can even be one photo. But it is a little easier to do a series of photos.

But nice work with the "Photo Essay" I totally just laughed!

Too bad we won't get caught up so we could show you an example, huh? :) I will soon - I promise!
